Ana

A transplant from Seville, Spain, Ana has an international degree in management (University of Navarra) and a master’s degree in education (University of Seville). During her last year as an undergraduate, she was selected among the top ten students in her class and given the opportunity to complete her studies at the IESE Business School in Madrid. Throughout her studies, she attended schools around the globe, including Canada (Wilfrid Laurier University), France (Université Jean Moulin), and of course, Spain. She later worked for Deloitte, an international firm based in Spain. There, she focused on the Spanish market sector as she worked in both the auditing and consulting departments.

During her years studying abroad, Ana discovered her love of teaching foreigners about Spanish culture and tutoring Spanish. Since college, Ana has had a passion for teaching Spanish, French, math, and English as a Second Language. In fact, it was this passion that drove her to obtain her master’s degree in education. While pursuing her master’s, she worked as an assistant teacher in a high school math class in Seville. She then began teaching Spanish to foreign students in 2008, collaborating with The American Institute in Seville.

Ana thoroughly enjoys teaching, partly because it provides a platform from which to share her knowledge and experiences with her students while assisting them in achieving their short and long term goals. Students seem to enjoy her patient and adaptable nature.

In her free time, Ana loves to cook using both modern and traditional recipes. She enjoys spending hours in the kitchen preparing amazing meals to share with her family and friends. She also loves to travel, a hobby which allows her to feed her curiosity while exploring new places and cultures.
